International Sponsorship and Valuable Individual and Institutional Prizes: The 2027 Innovative Teacher Competition Launches to Support and Reward Creativity in Education!

In collaboration with ALECSO, Intel, and Millennium@EDU, Classera rewards creative teachers and supports the smart transformation of education in the region

Across the Arab world, a growing number of educators are bringing fresh creative energy into their classrooms. These teachers recognize how rapidly the world is changing, understand their students’ needs, and are reshaping their teaching methods to prepare them for the future. Their lessons become data analysis projects, interactive AI-powered applications, and technology-based experiences that strengthen student engagement.

To support these inspiring models and recognize their efforts, the 2027 Innovative Teacher Competition provides creative teachers with a platform that supports their initiatives, rewards their excellence, and showcases their work internationally.

Inspire. Innovate. Educate.

The Innovative Teacher Competition (ITC 2027) launches under the slogan “Inspire. Innovate. Educate,” opening registration to teachers across the Arab world in more than 10 countries. The initiative is a joint effort between the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), Classera, Intel Corporation, and Millennium@EDU, under the sponsorship of several global companies and institutions dedicated to advancing education and supporting digital transformation, led by jp.ik and SixUnited as main sponsors.

A Smart Framework, Open to All

Built on the Intel® Skills for Innovation (SFI) teacher professional development program, the competition asks teachers to build an innovative lesson plan (Starter Pack) by designing a lesson or learning activity that integrates and employs emerging technologies. The goal is to increase student engagement, deepen understanding, and strengthen future skills, in any subject, with no prior technical expertise required.

In keeping with the principle of equal opportunity, and to attract creative teaching talent from all types of educational institutions, the competition is free to enter and open equally to teachers from public and private schools.

Your Classroom Innovation: From a Single Lesson to the World Stage

The competition unfolds across three stages, from local school-level qualifiers to a global appearance at the InnoXera Global EdTech Summit:

  • Local Qualifiers (October 25, 2026 – January 2027): Run in partnership with Ministries of Education of the participating countries, with 3 winners advancing to the regional round from each country.
  • Regional Round (February – March 2027): National winners compete before a judging panel made up of all four organizing entities.
  • Global Stage at InnoXera (April 2027): The three regional winners present their work at the InnoXera Global EdTech Summit, before an elite audience of policymakers and experts from around the world.

Entries are judged on three criteria: Educational Impact (40%), Technology Integration (30%), and Innovation (30%) — with bonus points for completing Intel® SFI training or submitting a video documenting the innovative lesson plan in the classroom.

Global Recognition — and Rewards Built to Fuel Innovation

Winners receive global recognition before an elite audience of experts, investors, and education decision-makers, along with the chance to have their work featured on the Intel® SFI platform. They'll also gain professional development through the Intel® SFI program, technology prizes from Intel, jp.ik, and SixUnited, complimentary activation of Classera's smart Learning Super Platform for their schools, and an invitation to the InnoXera finals.

At the institutional level, the school with the highest number of participating teachers receives special awards of its own, separate from the technical support and smart-system activation.

Real Transformation Starts with a Decision

At the institutional level, Ministries of Education across the region are racing to modernize their systems and classrooms. But real transformation still comes down to individual initiative — the kind that makes an impact inside a single classroom.

One teacher's decision to try something new can become a model scalable far beyond their own classroom — the kind of idea that drives real change in education.

This competition was designed to find those teachers, give them a stage, and make a broader point: Classera isn't just a system schools use — it's a hub of global leadership, driving progress at every level by mobilizing its worldwide network of technology partners. And its bet has always been, first and last, on human creativity: on the teachers behind every original idea, and every experience that leaves a mark.
